At NCI, we believe that international mobility is much more than just a trip. It's a transformative experience that opens minds, develops skills, and creates engaged global citizens. That's why we are particularly proud to see our participants evolve to become ambassadors of these values, especially through the EuroPeers network.
What is the EuroPeers Network?
EuroPeers is a European network of young people who have participated in an Erasmus+ or European Solidarity Corps project. Their mission? To share their experience and inform other young people about mobility opportunities in Europe. They organize events, workshops in schools, information booths, and much more, all on a voluntary and passionate basis.
From NCI to EuroPeers: A Natural Path
For many of our participants, the adventure doesn't end upon their return. The desire to share what they've experienced and inspire others to take the leap is a logical next step. The EuroPeers network offers them the ideal platform to:
- Showcase their experience: Turn their lived experience into a communication and advocacy skill.
- Develop new skills: Learn how to organize events, speak in public, and manage projects.
- Stay connected to Europe: Join a community of young people who share the same values and continue to be enriched by contact with other cultures.
The Impact of Peers
One of the greatest strengths of the EuroPeers network is "peer-to-peer" communication. A young person will always be more receptive to the testimony of another young person who has lived the experience. It's authentic, concrete, and inspiring. Our participants-turned-ambassadors are the best-suited to answer questions, clear up doubts, and pass on the spark of mobility.
"Seeing our participants take the lead and in turn become multipliers of opportunities is our greatest reward. It's proof that the impact of our projects goes far beyond the duration of the mobility."– Laura Fournier, Mobility Programs Coordinator at NCI
How Do We Support Them?
NCI actively encourages its participants to join the network. We inform them about national and international EuroPeers training and support them in their first steps. We can also co-organize events to allow them to share their testimony with our local community.
The journey from participant to EuroPeers ambassador is a concrete example of the empowerment and civic engagement we seek to promote. It's a virtuous cycle where every shared experience inspires new ones.
