Building a Sustainable Future, Together: Our Action in Benin

International solidarity finds its true meaning when it is rooted in concrete local actions and responds to the great challenges of our time. For NCI, the commitment to sustainable development is not just a goal; it's a daily practice, especially in Benin, where we focus our projects on the environment, culture, and youth.

A Strategic Partnership for Local Impact

Our approach is based on close collaboration with local stakeholders. That's why our partnership with the Cooperative for Waste Recycling of Benin (CRD BÉNIN) is so emblematic. This collaboration, formalized in February 2025, allows us to join forces to create unique synergies. By combining our international network with their on-the-ground expertise, we develop projects that have a direct and lasting impact on communities.

Education is our most powerful tool for planting the seeds of a sustainable future.

Education as a Lever for Change

We are convinced that awareness is the first step towards action. That's why we co-develop innovative school and professional animation programs:

  • Ecology awareness workshops: We visit schools to talk about recycling, waste reduction, and biodiversity preservation in a fun and interactive way.
  • Film-debates and workshops on eco-friendly habits: Using the power of images to spark debate and encourage the adoption of more environmentally friendly daily practices.

These initiatives aim to give young people the keys to understanding environmental issues and becoming agents of change in their own communities.

When Recycling Meets Creation and Inclusion

Our collaboration goes beyond mere awareness. We believe in the potential of the circular economy to create opportunities. By offering joint training on the transformation of waste into art objects, we link recycling with artistic creation. These workshops not only add value to waste but also provide young people with a platform to express their creativity and acquire new skills, thus promoting their social and professional inclusion.

A Long-Term Commitment

Our work in Benin is part of a long-term vision. By connecting the environment, culture, and youth, we are not just responding to immediate problems; we are helping to build a more resilient, creative, and united society. This is the meaning of our commitment: acting together, for a shared sustainable future.
